Drugs & Narcotics Policy

Laxnar Beaumont maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy towards illegal drugs, narcotics and prohibited substances.

1. Prohibited Substances

The possession, use, consumption, manufacture, processing, sale, purchase, distribution, supply, trafficking or storage of illegal drugs, narcotics or prohibited substances is strictly prohibited anywhere on the Laxnar Beaumont property.

This prohibition applies to:

• Guest accommodation

• Common areas

• Plantation and outdoor areas

• Vehicles on the property

• Any other area under the control of Laxnar Beaumont

2. No Facilitation by Staff

Guests must not request, instruct or pressure any Laxnar Beaumont employee to purchase, procure, transport, store, conceal, deliver or arrange drugs, narcotics or any other prohibited or unlawful substance or item.

Laxnar Beaumont staff are strictly prohibited from facilitating such requests.

3. Mandatory Reporting

Any suspected possession, use, distribution, sale, supply, trafficking or other unlawful activity involving drugs or narcotics identified at or in connection with Laxnar Beaumont will be mandatorily reported to TOOFAN and/or the appropriate law-enforcement authority, as applicable.

Laxnar Beaumont will cooperate with law-enforcement authorities and provide relevant information or assistance where required by law or lawfully requested.

4. Immediate Action

Where reasonable grounds exist to suspect prohibited drug-related activity, Laxnar Beaumont management may:

• Require the activity to cease immediately.

• Secure or restrict access to the relevant area, where lawful.

• Terminate the guest’s stay.

• Expel the guest from the property.

• Preserve relevant information or evidence where appropriate.

• Make the mandatory report to the appropriate authority.

5. No Use of the Property for Illegal Activity

Laxnar Beaumont must not be used for the possession, consumption, sale, supply, distribution, storage, concealment or trafficking of illegal drugs or narcotics.

Any such activity will be treated as a serious and fundamental violation of the terms of stay.

6. Consequences

Laxnar Beaumont reserves the right to immediately terminate the stay and expel any guest involved in prohibited drug-related activity, subject to applicable law.

Where a stay is terminated or a guest is expelled because of a violation of this policy or unlawful activity, no refund will ordinarily be provided for the unused portion of the stay, subject to applicable law.

7. Guest Reporting

Guests who become aware of suspected drug-related activity on the property are requested to immediately inform the Property Manager or Management.

Reports will be treated appropriately and, where required, communicated to the relevant authorities.

8. Applicable Law

This policy operates in addition to, and does not replace, any applicable laws and regulations governing narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and other controlled or prohibited substances in India and Kerala.

By confirming a reservation and staying at Laxnar Beaumont, guests acknowledge and agree to comply with this Drugs & Narcotics Policy.
